Yoder & Frey adds new construction equipment auction dates
International appeal reported at recent auctions
September 28 2017: Yoder & Frey (leading auctioneers of heavy construction equipment in the USA) will be holding the next heavy equipment auctions in its 2017 programme on October 25 in Florida and on December 6 in Ohio. A good mix of lots, including a broad choice of earth moving equipment, trucks and dozers, right down to garage equipment, tools and spares will be going under the hammer, offering potential buyers a great opportunity to bid on and acquire some impressive lots. Plans are also well underway for the next Kissimmee Florida Winter Consignment Auction in early February 2018.
“We’re seeing buoyant interest in our upcoming sales; particularly from operators looking for equipment to extent their capabilities in supporting the massive clean-up operations that are now being implemented in the southern states and right across the Caribbean, following the recent destructive storms,” stated Peter Clark, CEO of Yoder & Frey. “We are also seeing an increase in the quality of equipment being consigned to group auctions around the world and we continue to reap international advantages, following our partnership with Euro Auctions at the beginning of the year.”
Hong Kong and Dubai auctions
Earlier in September, Euro Auctions held inaugural sales at new sites in both Hong Kong and Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, helping consolidate links between its existing sector leading operations in Europe with those in Australia in support of demand around the Asia Pacific Rim.
A total of 448 lots went under the hammer in Dubai from an initial 50+, mainly first time, consignors. Approaching 500 bidders from 45 countries also registered for this sale which saw over 50 successful first time buyers. Over 25% of sales, both by buyers and by value, were transacted via the internet and much of the equipment will be remaining in the region.
The first Hong Kong auction also saw approaching 500 bidders register for the event where the average lot prices were around $17,250 per sale; considerably higher than many other similar construction equipment auctions, reflecting the high quality and high capital value of the equipment coming out of the region. Bidders in almost 40 countries, including the USA, participated in this one-day auction and over 70% of all winning bids were placed via the internet, again reflecting the international appeal and demand for quality used construction equipment and machinery.
Jonnie Keys of Euro Auctions added: “Construction equipment demand around the world has continued to grow with strong demand in the USA and Europe, together with recovery in key markets such as Australia and Russia making equipment prices strong around the world. These recent auctions truly provided us with the opportunity to enhance our service to our existing customers plus gave us access to quality equipment along with new buyers and sellers in the international marketplace.”
