Job Title: Inventory Controller

Reporting To: Yard Manager

Location: Kissimmee, Florida.

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm. (weekend work may be required at auction time)

A division of the Euro Auctions Group, Yoder and Frey have been conducting auctions of construction equipment, trucks, trailers, and agricultural machinery since 1964 with sites based in Florida, Ohio, and Texas.

This is not your typical Inventory Controller job; here, the Inventory Controller manages all auction inventory from excavators and dumptrucks to cars and crushers. This is an important role as accurate Inventory Control is crucial to the smooth running of the auction.

Key Activities:

  • This is an active, outdoor job and requires someone with the ability to operate all types of heavy equipment.
  • Inputting stock precisely.
  • Precise loading and unloading of machines.
  • Preparing stock for Auction and organizing the yard.
  • Performing stock checks on a regular basis ensuring all stock is always accounted for.
  • Photographing stock.
  • Dealing with auction inquiries from customers and suppliers.

The Requirements

Essential Criteria:

  • Fluent in both written and spoken English.
  • A minimum of 1 years’ experience in Inventory Control.
  • Good Data entry skills with attention to detail and ability to spell.
  • Computer literate and experience using stock management systems.
  • Knowledge of Inventory Management processes, troubleshooting and problem solving
  • Motivated, highly organized person who enjoys a challenge and is not adverse to a hard day's graft
  • This is a customer-facing role requiring good communication skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • This is a physically demanding, all-weathers role therefore applicants should be able to lift weights up to 25Kilos.
  • Ability to take instruction as well as work on own initiative and follow Health & Safety legislation.
  • Willingness to work extra hours during busy auction periods.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Knowledge of and ability to operate construction equipment is desirable.
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
