Ahead of the upcoming Florida auction on 30th October and the now world-famous Winter Sales in Kissimmee, Florida in early 2020, Yoder & Frey Auctioneers LLC, has strengthened its team with the appointment of Emilio Machado as Territory Manager for the South-eastern United States.
As part of the continued expansion by Yoder & Frey, Emilio Machado, from the West Palm Beach, Florida Area, has been appointed as the new territory manager for the South-eastern United States, bringing on board his vast experience of machinery sales and leasing.
Emilio is a seasoned sales manager and leasing agent with over 20 years of experience in sales, leasing, and renting of heavy equipment. Emilio is also well-versed in exportation, overseas requirements and law, and will have an eye on the global market that Yoder & Frey is expanding into, since the incorporation with Europe’s largest machinery auction group, Euro Auctions.
The ongoing requirement to develop new markets in the USA, as well as globally, dictated that Yoder & Fry needed a territory manager with a proven history of developing marketing strategies and leveraging online resource to meet and exceed sales goals, as well as fostering successful relationships between owners and buyers.
Emilio, having a proven history with many of the largest equipment sales and rental companies in the region, matched that criteria. Emilio founded and developed his own business in Florida as an equipment broker, primarily selling through auctions and dealers, extending his network to more than 22,000 vendors and customers, and selling over $4.5 million in export sales in the first year.
Previously Emilio has worked with several of the leading equipment sales and rental companies in the south-eastern USA, including: Kelly Tractor Co, the leading Caterpillar heavy equipment dealer in Miami and Southern Florida, supplying new and used Caterpillar machinery and equipment. Emilio also spent time working with Smith Bros. Contracting Equipment, Inc, one of the largest dealerships in the region for Bobcat and Doosan.
“I’ve been consigning machinery to Yoder & Frey for many years, to their regular sales as well as the Winter Sale in Kissimmee, Florida. I know the company well and respect what they do” explains Emilio, “Why did I join Y&F? That is simple. To gain stability in the marketplace, to work with a big name in the auction world which commands respect and people listen to. I also wanted to work with a company with a good ‘commercial backbone’ where I could go to a consignor and offer a broad range of services, tailored to meet each specific customer’s needs. Also, the parent company is interesting, and I went to the UK to see the set up that Euro Auctions has, and it is very, very impressive and they are doing something on a truly international level and a scale that very few auction specialists globally can compete at.”
Emilio continues “I also wanted a good busy structure, which Y&F has, and the chance to trade internationally. I can do within this new role, as I have consignors in South America, but predominantly Puerto Ricco and Columbia that I want to develop. To say I am excited to be onboard is an understatement. I’m loving this.”
Emilio has extensive experience, working with a vast array of equipment, and some of the world’s foremast manufacturers, including but not limited to: ABI, Caterpillar, Challenger, Genie, Harlo, Jungheinrich lift trucks, IMT Drill Rigs, Landpride, Link-Belt Cranes, Marden Industries, Massey Ferguson AG tractors, Wacker Nueson and Mauldin.
Yoder & Frey have also increased resources based at their Kissimmee site with the addition of Austin Cowart. Austin will be working as a stock controller, managing the arrival, auction setup and dispatch of the equipment to and from the Kissimmee site.
