Let us help you with your appraisal needs, whatever they may be. Yoder & Frey Auctioneers offers two types of basic appraisals, a desktop appraisal and a certified appraisal.

DESKTOP APPRAISAL

This appraisal service provides a quick valuation of what a particular item may bring at auction. No formal reports are generated and the valuation does not comply with generally accepted appraisal standards. The appraisal is developed using current auction results for equipment with similar features. This type of valuation allows our customers to choose between the different types of liquidation for their equipment.

 

CERTIFIED APPRAISAL

This fee based appraisal service is typically used where a comprehensive valuation is needed. These can include valuations for financing, small business loans, buy/sell agreements, insurance valuations, tax related purposes and many other business related valuation purposes. This certified appraisal service follows the guidelines set forth by the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) of the Appraisal Standards Board. A comprehensive, confidential appraisal report will be issued and will include a photo and complete description of every asset appraised. For more information, see below.

Our senior professional Appraiser belongs to the International Society of Appraisers and carries the designation of Graduate Personal Property Appraiser (GPPA). This designation program is one of many offered by the National Auctioneers Association Education Institute, which prides itself on enhancing the expertise of its Auctioneer members by offering continuing education and specialized programs focused on all aspects of the auction business. Less than one percent of auction professionals throughout North America hold the GPPA designation.

All of our appraisal services follow the guidelines set forth by the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice of the Appraisal Standards Board. Appraisal reports are reviewed by an Appraiser with the GPPA designation and contain the Forced Liquidation Value and the Orderly Liquidation Value of equipment.
